Waiward Industrial LP. has been awarded a contract by Mosaic’s agent, Hatch, for detailing, supply, steel fabrication, painting, and construction of the No.3 Compaction building located at the Mosaic Potash Esterhazy K1 production facility, located in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan.
Esterhazy is home to Mosaic’s K1 and K2 mills and K3 mine in one of the best ore deposits in the world. The K1 site, named after the element symbol for potassium ‘K’, has supplied potash to global customers for decades. Esterhazy processes its potash into a variety of products including Ag White, Crystal, Granular and Standard MOP (muriate of potash) products.
For the No. 3 Compaction Building project, approximately 1,400 MT of steel will be fabricated and painted at our Edmonton facility in December and will be completed in April 2023. Then it will transition to our construction team, which will begin mobilizing in January 2023 and complete in June 2023.
