Gitga’at Waiward Industrial Awarded Stick Steel Supply Contract

Gitga’at Waiward Industrial has been awarded a contract to supply stick built structural steel to JGC Fluor, the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the LNG Canada Project.

Based in Kitimat, B.C., Gitga’at Waiward Industrial is a joint venture partnership between Gitga’at First Nation and Waiward Industrial that was formed in November 2019, and provides a comprehensive range of construction, maintenance, fabrication and engineering services.

Structural steel supplied to the LNG Canada project by Gitga’at Waiward Industrial will be used to construct a number of on-site facilities. Deliveries are expected to commence in early 2021 and continue through to December 2022.
